ABOUT CYCLADES ISLANDS

In the centre of Aegean sea, these islands, were created before millions of years, from the geological agitations that were marked in the region of south-eastern Mediterranean. It is said however according to the Greek fables that, took their name from the nymphs Cyclades, which transformed the god of sea, Neptune, in islands, when they caused his rage.


Amorgos
has semi-mountainous ground with taller vertex the Krikello on 826m. Between mountains, forms dales where are cultivated cereals, olives, vines, legumes, e.t.c. Whoever is found here should not lose the eminent fava of Amorgos. Most churches of island present the characteristic Cycladic ecclesiastical architecture. Kythnos
has many beautiful beaches from the other islands of Cyclades. It has sandy beaches with easy access and spotless waters. A good place for swimming is Aliki, Stifos and the Mayrianoy on the north. You can also visit the beaches of Simoysi, Baths, Meriha, Koyri, Naoussa and Royally. Leading beaches in entire of Aegean are considered the Kolona and the Apokrousi.

Milos was one from the important centres of Cycladic culture.
